Car designs are always evolving and manufacturers are working hard to create tomorrow’s vehicles. While the basic principles behind most cars on the road today have been around for the last few decades, the overall look of cars, the materials used to build them and the features offered by them has undergone significant evolution. What will cars look like in 10, 20 or 50 years? Nobody can know for sure, but there are some concepts that have been released that give us a few ideas. Some of these concept car designs are created by the manufacturers themselves, while others are the work of individual artists and designers.
Take a look at the 12 concept cars shown here to get an idea of what our future cars are going to be like. A few designs, such as a car using transparent OLED panels that let drivers see through the dashboard and onto the road ahead could be put into production in just a couple of years. Others, like an organically grown sports car, would most probably have to wait at least several decades before they have the chance of being created.
