Dodge is an automobile brand that has a very rich and interesting history behind it. You can see for yourself just by checking out their Wikipedia page. There, you can find how the company was started by the Dodge brothers and what lead to it being acquired by Daimler-Chrysler. You will also get a better look at some of the vehicles they've produced over the years, including some unusual ones such as military vehicles and concept cars that never actually made it into production.
Today's Dodge trucks all have the ram symbol on them. It was used on all of their cars and trucks between 1934 and 1954, before being put to use for the Dodge Ram line of trucks that we see on the roads today.
The symbol was invented by Avard T. Fairbanks, who was tasked with creating a symbol that would fit in well with the automobile brand's image of durability and power. He considered using various animals and mythological creatures before selecting the Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. Fairbanks was sure that this design would be well received by Mr. Chrysler and he was actually right. This animal, widely known as the king of the mountain trail, was chosen to represent the Dodge brand and is now used on their line of rugged trucks.
