Also, depending on your car\u2019s make and model, the unit itself will be labeled either \u201cEngine Control Module\u201d, \u201cEngine Control Unit\u201d, \u201cEngine Control Computer\u201d, or even \u201cPowertrain Control Module\u201d or \u201cPowertrain Control Unit\u201d.<\/p>\n

How Do I Find the Location of My Dodge ECM?<\/h2>\n

It is always a good idea to consult your vehicle\u2019s owner\u2019s manual to find the exact location of your Dodge\u2019s PCM, but typically they are found in the engine compartment, under the passenger floorboard, under the seats, or behind the kick panels. To make things a little bit easier for you, we\u2019ve gathered the locations of the PCM in different popular Dodge models.<\/p>\n

Dodge Durango<\/strong> \u2013 The PCM in your Dodge Durango is located on the right (passenger side) of the engine compartment, outside of the engine firewall.<\/p>\n

Dodge RAM 1500 \u2013 <\/strong>Same as the Durango, the Dodge RAM 1500 PCM is located in the engine compartment, on right side of firewall.<\/p>\n

Dodge Grand Caravan<\/strong> \u2013 The PCM in a Dodge Caravan is located on driver side behind front headlight next to radiator. The fuse\/relay box is located right behind it.<\/p>\n

Dodge Avenger<\/strong> \u2013 The car computer module on a Dodge Avenger is located under the hood, close to the battery, mounted to a bracket. If your Avenger is an automatic transmission then the bracket will hold the ECM and TCM (transmission control module). If it is a 5 speed, then there is only an ECM.<\/p>\n

Dodge Charger<\/strong> \u2013 A Dodge Charger\u2019s PCM is located in engine compartment on the passenger side. You\u2019ll find it close to the windshield by the factory strut tower brace.<\/p>\n

Dodge Challenger<\/strong> \u2013 The PCM for the Challenger is located under the hood on the passenger side, near the cowl (the front part of the vehicle\u2019s frame that supports the rear of the hood).<\/p>\n
