4WDs typically uses more gas than their 2WD counterparts. They are heavier and of course carry a different set of differential gears. It creates more torque but it wastes more gas.<\/p>\n
Most people make the decision to opt for a 4WD based on where they live. Not everyone lives near the mountains or wants to trek down a desert road.
