The Amazing History of Dodge

If you want to know all about Dodge, wikipedia has the information. It starts off with the beginnings for the Dodge Brothers, all the way up to Daimler-Chrysler. If you do some more digging, you will be hearing about every type of vehicle that Dodge has created. You can easily see from the timeline when these automobiles came onto the market. Wikipedia is the foremost source for information about Dodge.

You probably did not know this fact about Dodge!

Have you ever wondered why Dodge uses a ram, or bighorn sheep, as its symbol? This has been the dealer's symbol all the way back to 1932 through 1954, and it still symbolizes today's Dodge trucks.

Avard T. Fairbanks, having brainstormed about different mythology creatures and powerful animals for weeks, contacted Mr. Chrysler and asked him to look at three drawings he had made for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. He thought it would be a no brainer when he presented the idea of a charging ram.

He proposed this design to Mr. Chrysler because the ram is the confident king of the mountain. He went on to say that nothing could challenge the authority of the ram, and anyone who faced it would immediately have the instinct to DODGE it! Now that he had clarified the reasoning behind the art, Mr. Chrysler's decision was easy. Ever since then, the strong, majestic ram has come to symbolize the ruggedness and toughness of Dodge trucks.

This is very interesting, is it not?
