2017 Ford GT supercar made its debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2015.
It’s got nothing short of power under the hood with its Twin-Turbo 3.5L V6. The sound at startup is wicked.
The GTs bodywork and central but are made of carbon fiber, while the rear and front substructures, along with most of the suspension, are constructed of aluminum. The cabin is narrow with a tight passenger fit.
Drivers will like the feel of sitting snugly in a cockpit. The driver and passenger are seated shoulder-to-shoulder in seats that are fixed directly to the tub.
Now get this! The pedals adjust, along with the steering wheel. The vehicle is also designed with driver-safety in mind. The way the fixed seats are arranged isn’t designed to save weight, but are designed with passenger safety in mind. A 3.5 liter, twin-turbo V-6 dishes out 650 horsepower that’s backed by a Getrag, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
There’s plenty of torque and power to keep the driver’s attention focused straight ahead. Check out the video to learn more about what’s being hatched at Ford Motor Company.
