This is some good old-school information. Get under the hood with the right attitude and tools—and something good can happen. Don’t mind the young dude. He seems to know what he’s talking about. Go out and buy some dependable engine degreaser, along with a couple of brushes. Base your degreaser on the amount of dirt and grime that needs removing.
Check wires and tubes before you start the cleaning process. Just spray all the areas you want to clean, then spray everything down with a power washer. Don’t hit any batter connections, wires, or cables. Obviously, you’ll need a big and small brush. So, is this guy getting any dirt on his nice, clean T-shirt? Now, the vehicle is ready for the power wash and rinse. Looks easy, and actually is. Just be mindful not to get any open wires wet, or to spray your battery.
