When an eight year old kid shows you to replace brake pads, it may be time to perk up and take notice. First, rolling the car up on a concrete or cinder block is a bad idea—a very bad idea for the obvious reasons. Let’s hope the little guy’s parent/s get real before a major accident happens. Fast forward and you’ll assume the lad jacked up the car all by himself. No doubt, a family member pitched in.
Okay, the wheel is off, and you’re still pulling your hair out and biting your tongue that about the vehicle resting on a small jack and piece of wood (that could crack at any moment). And then the young lad places the tire under the car for extra safety. Good move! He’s having his moments, but you can envision that one day this lad will be a super mechanic. The lining on the brake pads is worn, but it may be hard to wrap your mind around it because you’re still reeling from all the safety violations. All in all, it’s informative, cute, and a bit scary. Check it out. There’s always something that you can learn.
