For those who may not know, a dynamometer (dyno) is a type of device used to measure torque force—another word for “power.” Any rotating, prime mover that produces power, produces force that can easily be calculated as a result of its rotational speed (rpm) and torque. Roll your car over the dyno machine, and watch it get torqued up to unbelievable speeds. It’s enough to make the average driver a believer in fast cars. Just keep in mind that you must have a fast car to begin with, or it can be a bit of an embarrassment on your end.
