Monster wheels and all! These jeep rolls are scary. One thing for sure, these types of contest aren’t set up for speed. Spectators arrive with only one thought in mind: to see jeeps flip over and get tangled up in the process. Okay! Who’s really in charge of safety? One of the jeeps is already dangerously close to the spectators standing to the left when they lunge from the starting line. And like a magnet, both jeeps veer off to the left and head straight for the crowds.
No worries! The 10’ barrier is enough to stop a hurricane, or, maybe I imagined I saw that barrier. Those foot-high concrete blocks and the safety netting behind them won’t get the job done. Luckily, no one in the Jeeps were injured. Even more amazing is the fact that no spectators were injured. It makes you wonder who’s leading the safety patrol at this event. Check it out.
