Junkyard car racing is just as classic as the old tales you’ll hear about junkyard dogs. In fact, it can be even more fun to watch than the demolition derby. There’s a lot of crashing and drivers, amateurs at best, usually give their best efforts. Of course, the first image that comes to mind is cars actually racing through a junkyard. Actually, it’s not far from the truth. So, let’s just consider the fact that there are some excellent mechanics that spend their time, and money, putting these cars together for the race. It places junkyards in a whole new light.
Everyone knows the old saying that ‘one man’s junk, is another man’s treasure. While these vehicles might be an embarrassment on the street, they’ve found a home in any junkyard across America that’s willing to put together a racing event. We say bravo to the creative human spirit and junkyard racing.
