Can Max Cleaner Royal Purple Cleaner get the job done? Today’s test is on a V8 Ford Explorer. The cleaner is supposed to remove carbon deposits and buildup. The inspection will start by looking at the fuel injector and spark plug holes. This inspection will reveal exact snapshots. Royal Purple will be added to the tank, and the car driven until the tank is almost empty.
Afterward, the fuel injectors and spark plugs will be inspected again. In one example, a valve actually got dirtier. In several other valves, the product seemed to work marginally. That could be from carbon being washed down the intake. However, the experiment worked superb for cylinder #1. The before and after snapshots are right on target.
