The towns are so far apart, that goods are shipped across county on open roads. Several trailers are joined together to make one long road trailer. Odd, but it makes perfect sense where roads are straight and empty. The 160 foot rig (Centipede), Australia, is even longer.
It sports an 18-speed gear box and 110 wheels on 10 axels and transports zinc ore. Impressive that there are such things in the world that few people outside a particular area will ever know about. The truck is so valuable that owners of the mining company have built a second truck model. More are planned for the near future. You may notice something interesting half way through the video.
