In this video we get to witness a funnycar tire shake. However, the tires aren’t really shaking. It’s the camera mounted on the bottom of the funny car that’s shaking. However, it provides a great view of what’s happening, or what could happen. Everyone is waiting for the funny car to take off like a bat out of “you know what.” If you didn’t already know it, a funny car is a special type of drag racing vehicle that has its own class in organized drag racing. It’s big business, and participating sponsors get to strut their amazing mechanical abilities by jacking these cars up to roar down the track with thunder.
In reality, there’s nothing “funny” about these cars because there is so much technology that goes into building them. These cars can cost $100,000 and up, and that’s probably a conservative estimation. Check out the video and let your imagination run wild on this one.
