We’re on the verge of vehicle-to-vehicle communications. This takes it a step further and eliminates the need for a cloud. The vehicles will communicate with each other independently.
Japan is a country that’s at the forefront of this technology. Vehicles will be able to share road and weather conditions. If there is an accident, a vehicle will be able to share this information as well. These cars will be able to make decisions, in a snap, that humans may not be able to make. If a ball rolls out in the road, or a deer leaps across the road, is it better to brake or change lanes? After all, how many cars have driven off the road to avoid hitting a rabbit or a squirrel?
