1969 Dodge Charger – Classic Commercial

This video features the 1969 Dodge charger in a classic animated “White Hat Special” commercial.

In an Old West setting, good guys with white hats, Dodge salespeople known as The Dodge Boys, give great low prices. The bad guys in black hats only promote high prices. When the bad guys try to sell their over-priced vehicles to the townspeople, The Dodge Boys ride into town with the “White Hat Special” Dodge Charger at a price so low the competition starts crying over it.

The core idea of the commercial is that the 1969 Dodge Charger is a special car offered at a special price that can’t be beat by anyone. It is a sleek, stylish, durable and comfortable vehicle with lots of options, including wheel covers and, at least in this commercial, a white vinyl top. Customers at that time could also select black, green and tan vinyl tops.
