Classic Cars Vs. New Cars

Are the old muscle cars better than today’s models, or is it just nostalgia and a yearning for yesteryear that kicks in?  Today’s Mustang, Challenger and Camaro are compared against their forbearers. Today’s muscle cars are V8s with 400-500 horsepower. They can clock sizzling quarter mile times and the burnouts are mind blowing. Side-by-side comparisons allow the modern versions to bury their ancestors in the dust. However, you have to respect the genius that created the original muscle cars and the fact that there would be no love for today’s muscle cars without them.

To really appreciate progress, you have to start at the beginning and work your way up. Spend a little time in one of the original versions, and you more readily appreciate today’s muscle cars, which will make you appreciated yesterday’s beauties even more. The old models were superbly made, and with today’s technologies can roar almost as loud as the new ones.
