Now here’s a man that chooses to live out of his car. Unfortunately, his laptop and everything of value was stolen from his car. With no resume or proof of his ability to earn a gainful living, he decided to scrap everything in his Prius, non-essentials and to only pay for the essentials, like cell phone, food, and clothing etc. He calls his car “Hotel Prius.” He says he now has options to go anywhere there’s a job. He’s actually living quite the adventure, and gets asked a ton of questions while traveling.
For him, life feels vibrant, real, and organic. It’s a far cry indeed from the depression he was feeling not knowing what tomorrow would bring. He still doesn’t know—it’s just that now he doesn’t fear tomorrow’s unknown. You have to respect the fact that his vehicle is a hybrid. No doubt that helped cut down on gasoline bills. If you’re ever motivated to take a year off and hit the open road, here’s a thought.
