This is inspiring! Anyone should own their own auto repair efforts. This feeling of confidence could be what’s missing from the American psyche. It’s all about getting your hands dirty and feeling good about it. In truth, there’s a lot of respect in being able to fix a car, get under the hood, and make it purr like a kitten. Check out the owner of the “Girl’s Auto Clinic.” Give her a lot of credit. She owns her own shop and she’s an engineer as well. However, let’s not get it twisted. She’s had to overcome a few things to get where she is and she’s making it work.
She’s breaking stereotypes, and she looks good doing it. She brings up a good point though. If you “Google” female mechanic, images of women in bikinis pop up. Patrice Banks, the shop owner, offers a different take on what a woman mechanic shop owned should look like. It’s refreshing, and real.
